Overview

Critical Manufacturing develops a leading Manufacturing Execution System (MES) used by global manufacturers across multiple industries.

This project focused on redesigning the product login page to better reflect the platform identity and create a more contextual entry point for users.

Problem

The previous login experience was purely functional.

It consisted of a generic authentication form that provided little context about the product or the industries it serves. As the first interaction with the platform, the login page felt disconnected from the product identity and did not reflect the positioning of the software.

Solution

The login page was redesigned to introduce visual context while preserving the simplicity of the authentication process.

A contextual visual area was added to represent the industries supported by the platform, reinforcing the product environment and creating a more engaging entry point into the system.

The redesign also introduced a stronger use of the platform’s deep blue color, reinforcing the brand presence and aligning the login experience with the overall product identity.

Outcome

User perception tests comparing the previous and redesigned login screens showed a stronger perception of the product while maintaining usability.

Participants were able to complete the login process with the same ease as before, while reporting a more professional and product-oriented experience.
